Creating a Snap Pack Order

Creating a Single Order

Navigate to Orders > Snap Packs in the left sidebar and click Create Snap Pack.

  1. Step 1: Add a Description (optional)
Enter a label to identify this Snap Pack in the orders list, for example "June Statement – John Smith."
  2. Step 2: Select Recipient (To Contact)
Search for and select an existing contact, or click Add new contact to enter a new recipient address. The address will auto-populate once a contact is selected.
  3. Step 3: Select Sender (From Contact)
Select your sender contact the same way. A return address is required for all Snap Pack mailers and will appear on the outside panel.
  4. Step 4: Choose Your Content Method
Choose an Inside Template and an Outside Template from the dropdowns. These are the templates you created in Resources > Templates. Both are required. Alternatively, if you have a print-ready PDF instead of a template, you can upload it directly during order creation instead of selecting inside and outside templates.
  5. Step 5: Select Page Size
Choose either 8.5" x 11" Bifold (Vertical) or 8.5" x 11" Trifold (C Fold) from the Page Size dropdown.
  6. Step 6: Select Mailing Class
Choose USPS First Class or USPS Standard Class. If you select Standard Class, a warning will appear about the 200-mailer minimum.
  7. Step 7: Set Send Date (optional)
Use the calendar to schedule a future send date. Leave blank to send as soon as the order is processed.
  8. Step 8: Click Create
Your order will appear in the Snap Packs list with a status of Ready.

Bulk sending via Campaigns

To send Snap Packs to multiple recipients at once, navigate to Campaigns in the left sidebar and click Create.

  1. Step 1: Select Collateral Type
From the Select your Collateral screen, choose Snap Packs and click Next.
  2. Choose Your Mailing List
Upload a CSV file with your recipient list, select a previously used list from the dropdown, or build a new list using the List Builder. Choose a Default Sender Contact and click Next.
  3. Step 3: Configure Creative Details
Fill in the Description (optional), select your Size (Bifold or Trifold), choose your Mailing Class, and select your inside and outside templates - or upload a PDF. Click Confirm to proceed.
  4. Step 4: Name Your Campaign
Enter a campaign name to identify it in the Campaigns list.
  5. Step 5: Preview and Confirm
PostGrid will validate your recipient list and generate a PDF preview of the Snap Pack. Navigate through the preview pages to verify your layout before committing. Once satisfied, click Confirm to create the orders, then click Done.
Your campaign will appear in the Campaigns list with a Ready status. Individual orders are visible under Orders > Snap Packs.
📘

Note on non-US recipients: If your list contains non-US addresses, a warning will appear before confirmation. Snap Packs are always printed and processed in the United States and mailed internationally from the US. US mailing classes apply along with additional international postage charges.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel a Snap Pack from the Orders > Snap Packs list using the cancel action in the row menu, or from the Snap Pack detail page using the Cancel button. Cancellation is only possible before the order reaches the Printed stage. Once an order is printing or beyond, it cannot be cancelled.

Tracking your Snap Packs orders

Navigate to Orders > Snap Packs to see all individual orders. Each row shows the description, recipient address, and current status. Click any row to open the detail view with a full progress tracker.

  1. Ready: The order was successfully created and is set to be printed on the 'Send Date'. By default, the 'Send Date' is the next business day, but this can be changed to a later date.
  2. Printing: The order has been sent to the printer and will be processed within 2business days.
  3. Processed for Delivery: The order has been handed off to the local postal service.
  4. Completed: The order has likely been delivered. Please note, this is an approximation.
  5. Cancelled: The order has been cancelled, it will not be sent out, and no charges will be applied.

To view the final print file for any order, click View PDF from either the orders list or the order detail page.
